Visual identity

The Fundació Mies van der Rohe fosters debate and awareness of themes related to contemporary architecture and urban planning, as well as encouraging the study of van der Rohe and the Modernist Movement’s work. The institution was created in 1983 and since 1988,  together with the European Commission, it has organised the EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture – the biennial Mies van der Rohe Award, highlighting outstanding architectural works built across Europe.

Throughout the years, we have worked with the Fundació on many projects and in many areas

It is an honour to work with a cultural institution of such importance that carries out the task of rethinking architecture by studying its past and envisioning its future.

We designed the visual identity and a new communication brand system for the Fundación and their prestigious Young Talent Architecture Award (YTAA), together with a campaign to promote the figure and work of Mies van der Rohe.

Our most recent collaboration includes developing the brand architecture strategy for the EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award, its final designation and its role and relationship amongst the different prizes organized by the Fundación, in order to avoid existing conceptual and hierarchical conflicts among them.
