SCI-Arc, the South California Institute of Architecture, was founded in 1972 by Ray Kappe, Thom Mayne and a smal group of influential thinkers who wanted to create an alternative educational project, approaching architecture education from a experimental perspective that traditional institutions didn’t offer at the time. Since its origins, SCI-Arc changed the way architecture was taught, and today remains one of the few independent architecture schools in the world.

When the prestigious architect Hernán Díaz Alonso was name SCI-Arc’s fifth director, we were commissioned to work on the Intitute’s new brand strategy, setting the pillars for SCI-Arc’s brand update and development.
